Business Requirement

A Fortune 500 commercial business information company needed to streamline its quote-to-cash processes through standardized technology and adaptive processes to meet diverse customer requirements, support future growth and reduce cost. With sales representatives being the primary users, Salesforce.com was chosen to be the primary user interaction platform.


We were brought in to customize Salesforce.com and build new dashboards, develop web services based interfaces with the in-house backend systems, and build order processing workflows. The new functionalities enabled synchronization of quotes with opportunities, synchronization of product catalogs between Salesforce.com and in-house systems, management of customer and opportunity details, and punch-in from Salesforce.com.


The new platform ensured proper order flows and revenue recognition assignments, avoided delayed payments, and eliminated errors in invoicing and product assignments.
