Integration of sales leads through different source systems

Business Requirement

A leading global financial services company needed to integrate processing of sales leads, generated out of source systems from various business units, on to a single platform.

Solution

Having already accomplished the task of transitioning it over to Salesforce.com from its then existing CRM, we were further entrusted with this integration. In addition to more customization, the effort involved building web services based interfaces with Salesforce.com for various tasks such as creation and management of leads, opportunities, campaigns, accounts and owner details. Also, all the leads processing and routing logic was implemented on an on-premise business process management platform that interfaced directly with Salesforce.com.

Benefits

This helped sales representatives and their managers (the end users) in managing all the leads using a common user-interface (i.e. Salesforce.com). It also reduced significant amount of time required for integrating sales leads from newly acquired companies.
